Applejack are the privileged owners of this iconic pub. They have brought life back into the public house by transforming four spaces under one roof into unique experiences for the community.
Keeping true to its legend as a local watering hole and paying respects to the lands that the pub sat on for so many years, we bring you an authentic Australian experience. We continually work with our suppliers to source local and premium quality produce, and strive to be kinder to the planet by implementing sustainable practices across everything we do.

Meet the team
Meet Forrester’s General Manager, Shaun Brown. Shaun has been with Applejack Hospitality for a total of 7 years in senior management roles at Bondi Hardware, The Botanist Kirribilli, Della Hyde and was most recently the General Manager at SoCal.
Whilst he makes a mean Margie, he also pours the perfect pint and will go out of his way to help you out no matter how ‘Karen’ your request may be. Stop by and say hi!
Meet the Head Chef of Forrester’s, Rohit. A long-time Applejack employee, Rohit was most recently Head Chef at Tap Rooms in The Rocks. Rohit is excited to bring his creative flare and passion for good pub food to the menus at Forrester’s.
Applejack Hospitality is a boutique Sydney based hospitality group founded in 2011 by seasoned professionals Hamish Watts and Ben Carroll. The passionate duo are determined to challenge the status quo and lead the industry by delivering unique venues to bring people together, creating epic concepts and magic experiences.
In taking over Forrester’s Hotel, Ben & Hamish’s vision is to deliver a community-centric watering hole with an Applejack twist whilst staying true to its roots as a casual local with something for all.
