We welcome local artist, and Applejack staff member, Craig Kerrison, to exhibit his work in The Art Room.

Nestled in the corner of Forrester’s Surry Hills, The Art Room is a cosy space that aims to share creativity. The Art Room partners with creatives to give them a platform to showcase their work to our community. The feature artist will rotate throughout the year, and we encourage you to relax, enjoy wine and nibbles while viewing the artworks from local talent. Find out more here.

Let’s find out more about this month’s exhibiting artist, Craig Kerrison

Craig, is an English-born artist, based out of Marrickville. After receiving a Fine Art Degree (BA Hons) in Leeds, England in 2013, Craig moved to Sydney in 2014. Craig’s work centres around conveying relationships of line, light, colour & shapes, held within a particular space of the everyday that have a connection to him. Craig focuses on the medium of painting, drawing & mark making. He draws inspiration from American Painter ‘Richard Diebenkorn & Matisse’, with the work leaning towards a figurative, geometric & impressionistic imprint.

Craig’s feature artwork, ‘Into Cold Water’ series, showcases a sense of light & relief post isolation, during Summer in Sydney.
